Choosing MIPS Quality Measures for Emergency Physicians
Medicare has brought MIPS system for Quality Payment Program with the number of options to improve the quality of treatment for the patients and the clinicians get incentives and payments for the service they have offered. The payments and incentives have been awarded for based on the quality of treatment and it is weighed using scores for each category.
Different categories of treatment are categorized under MIPS for QPP so that the weighing scores also categorized as per the type of treatment. MIPS for QPP are open for all clinicians and those who wish to participate in it can join as an individual or as a group. Most of the eligibilities for taking part in MIPS is same for both individual and group of clinicians yet it differs slightly as per the norms and standards that differentiate individual and group.
